Default HID Kit From HIDExtra

So I finally got to installing the HID Kit that I got from HIDExtra.
All said and done, the only advice I have left to give is that to ensure that you get the polarity set right the first time, make sure you connect the Red wire prong on the Kit to the Blue on the Lexus socket (HIDExtra Red = Lexus Blue)
All other steps are as shown by Xenonsupply com Youtube video.

What follows now is a series of pictures that tell the story, hopefully in a storyboard manner. If you have any questions, please ask. I will try and answer them to the best of my knowledge.

I also ask others to comment on the installation and provide any constructive criticism that will help me and others who take on this installation.

I don't understand. There is a full warranty. If the bulb stopped working I am sure HIDExtra would be willing to help you out. I am mighty surprised that a sponsor would make you jump through unnecessary hoops.

Cool DIY.. However, it looked like you connected the HID harness one by one to the stock harness of the bulb? Was it 2 male pin you have to insert to the stock harness? Why didn't they make it plug and play type and make their own socket to make it easier? Is it to prevent people from connecting it the wrong way? I don't think that could be it. I know for a fact that the DDM ones are bipolar. If it was connected the wrong way, it just wont light up.

Well, there is absolutely no other place I can place this ballast on the driver's side....unless I missed something. Is there another place I place the ballast?

Looks like the same kit from XenonSupply. There is no other place cos of the length of the harnesses. I guess move the window washer nozel to the side and stuff it in that area. I don't know if it will make any difference but atleast it's not mm next to the box.

I don't quite get you.
There are no pins. There are sockets. But the socket can attach to the oem harness in both directions. There is no idiot-proof mechanism. Which is why I mentioned that blue= red. Hook up the kit socket to the OEM socket such that the blue side connects to the red side.

I see... I didn't view the video full screen and i'm on my 10" laptop hahahaa... It looks as if you inserted a couple of pins that go on the OEM bulb harness one by one instead of another whole socket that would plug to it.

The video is from a different vendor that I found on youtube.

HIDeXtra kits come with the sockets and not pin/spade connectors.

You have to take apart the ecu assembly, once you do that you'll have access to mount it just as you did the passenger side. This is the way that I did mine and I have not had any issues.

Thanks Mate.I relocated the Ballast and stuck it to the metal beneath the ECU. I did not even remove the ECU. Thanks to 3M double sided tape!
