I don't know how you keep your patience Kurtz...

I've read 5 pages of you saying the same thing! I dont understand why people still post asking the SAME question... It's like the thread with the new 2012 Headlights, Loaded or Stripped?.

But from all of us at Club Lexus> Thanks for the patience Kurtz!

What about the torque though? Is it possible to get higher torque without higher speed? I want to know if it feels faster :/

Nothing ECT-Power does changes the output of the engine.

Being in a lower gear will offer greater multiplication of torque, at expense of efficiency and lower top speeds, but in WOT driving that means you do not want to be in ECT-Power, since it will upshift sooner than normal mode will.

In on/off throttle driving in the mid-upper gear ranges as I mentioned is the only time ECT-Power does anything useful for you.

No it won't hurt to have it on all the time. You might get worse MPG with it on though, since ECT PWR changes the way the transmission behaves and the way the throttle input is handled. The car will downshift quicker and hold gears longer and the throttle response will be more sensitive in ECT PWR. Some have said they actually get better MPG with it on, guess it all depends on how and where you drive. Try both and see

I have mine on for the last 2 months and notice better mpg. It's definitely putting more stress on the brakes though.

I had it on dice day one, and without any problem so far after 18 months, however, I tested it with it on and without while driving in NYC, and noticed that I get alittle more mpg like 2 to 3 for the whole tank, and it gives me better power, btw, I'm driving 250 awd

we've had our AWD 250 for just over a week now and i like the car MUCH better in PWR mode. i just can't stand the throttle input lag in regular mode.

I'm thinking that maybe some people are noticing an increase in MPG because of certain driving situations where PWR mode may drop a gear lower whereas normal mode will keep a higher gear. in those situations, yes your revs will be higher in the lower gear, BUT the load on the engine could possibly be less than trying to pull out of a low speed situation in a higher gear with the pedal down. Either way, to me the PWR mode feels like how the 250 should be in normal mode
