Default Second Mod: Rearranged Emblems

if i knew the trouble i'd go through with rearranging emblems..
i probably wouldn't have done it!

debadging and putting the emblems back into the same spot is perhaps an easier job
but rearranging emblems like this where you have no indication of the spaces and alignment is scary!

i had to space the emblems like so to cover the two holes after the debadge

i used 3M Exterior Mounting Tape (looks very similar to the original foam tape lexus used?)

cutting and sticking the tape back behind the emblems were another pain

End Result:

Red outs will probably be my next mod
or installing my HID lows and fogs that i picked up yesterday

looks nice. there was another member here who also rearranged his emblems, but he painted the "awd" part red.

Nice work on the alignment. It looks pretty straight to me.

How did you remove the originals and clean up the mess? I've thought about debadging mine. I also need to reattach the emblem on another car that fell off.

hey ranger
this youtube video will describe all of what i did
(guy's tone of voice isn't the best to listen to.. but skip the boring parts and you'll get the idea!)

i didn't have to use a hairdryer to heat up my emblems cause it was a crazy hot day yesterday and my car was parked outside in the sun and heat already
i used dental floss to remove the badge
then used a solution called goo gone to clean up the adhesive afterwards, i think you can get it at any hardware store in the cleaning section
