Try searching for some answers...

I had some similar questions, and decided to go with Tein S-tech and will be installing them in the next couple of days (if I get away from work!)

just go with coilovers so you don't regret it later on, sure springs are cheaper but then you also need some new struts

Look for some used coilovers. That way you'll have the most adjustability later. ie new wheels.

What is considered better to you? Drop height? Quality?

i had the H&Rs and i swithed them out for some BCR coilovers. The H&R ride quality was terrible. Extremy harsh and noisy over bumps. The drop was uneven. and was to low in the front for my 19x8.5 +22 wheels with 225/35/19s. springs were a huge mistake on my part since i bought the springs, paid for instalation and allignment, then had them swapped out for coils and aligned again. my BCRs were about 1000 shipped and they ride amazing. i have em set in the middle as far as firmness and they are very qiute and very smooth. Almost oem feeling. If your on a budget look for BCR, Megan, or maybe the new Function Form coilovers.

I'd say H&R because I have them.

I was told the down fall of coils which no one talks about is they have to be rebuilt every so often. Is it true you have to take your coils out every 30k or so just to have them rebuilt? Thats alot of money for installation and uninstallion plus a big hassle. Can anyone confirm this?

You do have to rebuild them on a regular basis.... how regular is a matter that has seen some debate.

Yep, better is a relative term.

Yes you will eventually have to rebuild them. Coilovers are not immune to wear and tear. Just like anything else on the car, higher quality parts will generally last longer. Some have leaking dampers within 15k while others are able to stretch it up to 60k. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking for a little more money, you can get coilovers and be totally happy. Yes cheap coils will cost only a few hundred more than quality spring/shock, but they are cheap for a reason. There is no guarantee they'll last just as long either.
