Default Changing Center Console Lights

hey all!

just got my 2010 IS250 today, and coming from a mini cooper.. i have to say i'm quite turned off by the green lights on the center console
i'd think that such a nice car like the IS should at least have white lights other than the OEM green lights (that's just my opinion tho)
especially the green digital clock in the center! makes the car look like an old toyota

I don't have the nav package, so I have the standard climate and audio console in the middle.

Just wondering if there's any DIYs to change the lights behind the console so everything lights up in white instead of green?
and as for the digital clock.. does it light up according to the lights in the back? or would i have to swap out the entire clock?

i know *********** does an entire package for $599.. but just wondering if it'll be possible to do it ourselves?

anyone have any experience doing it?

thanks!

i guess from the pics.. soldering is required?
as for turning the digital clock from white to green.. was soldering required on that? or is it actually a totally different digital clock that you swapped in?

for taking off the center console.. was the first part taking off the vents at the top? was there any screws afterwards or was it all just clips holding everything together?

thanks for replying man!
like i said in my first post.. your IS is what all IS's should look like! lights in white!

anyone have any info on what to do to get the digital clock to light up in white instead of green? is it a complete swap out or just change the LEDs behind the clock?

I'm really missing the blood red of my Audi, what a pleasure it was to view at night....

Wish this task was simple enough to make a cockpit wide color change....
