Default Looking to sell my IS250 for a 350... advice is greatly appreciated and needed!

Okay so I purchased my IS250 in the beginning of June, I love the car, love the look, love the ride comfort, love the luxury.... only thing I don't like is how freaking slow the thing is! I knew going into it that the 250 would be slow but here in MI the AWD was really appealing for the winter (but its too slow so I'd rather just have the RWD and be extra careful when the snow is bad), having said that... I know they plan on releasing a 350 AWD but I honestly do not have that kind of money and the extra money I would have I intend on putting towards mods.

I've had a few s2000's and my pride and joy ITR (yeah I'm a Honda guy). I guess I know I will never have the same kind of handling ability as the s2000's or ITR but if I can at least get some more power haha maybe that would satisfy me...

I'm not looking to get rid of my IS and move to something else completely... I still think it's damn near a perfect car... I just want more power and maybe a couple more luxury features (I'm having regrets about selling the ITR for the 250 ... )

My question is this... my car is a 2008 250 AWD with 23,xxx miles, SGM with black leather... it's the premium package so no navi. Interior is FLAWLESS and the exterior has a couple little scratches, it is dent/ding free and never been in an accident, just had all warranty work done and got 4 brand new OEM wheels... the car looks amazingly clean. What kind of price can I expect to get if I sell this car? I paid $27,500 + tax/title/reg. and I am looking to get about the same price (only put 2k on the car) Is $26,500 a reasonable price to ask? If I decide to sell it here on clublexus, how do I get a vouch to sell it? I don't know anyone on this site but I think it is maybe one of my best chances to sell the car to someone who will respect it.

Finally... what is a reasonable price for a 07+ IS350 with navi and roughly 30-40k? Anyone on the forums selling one? Looking to trade for a 250 AWD with low miles (probly not but its worth asking lol). I need help you guys! What can I get for $22,000-$25,000? Any and all input is GREATLY appreciated, thanks in advance!!!!

I'm selling my IS350 right now and asking 27k. The current market value is about 10-15% below the kbb value. I didn't bother checking what your IS is worth on KBB but my guess is 23k is probably more realistic.

traded my 06 is250 with 90k miles on it for $23k and got a brand new 07 is350 and i have been happy ever since (3 years old), although i was upside down, i do not care, the 350 is worth it, ask me if i would do all over again? no, hence the reason why i haven't got an is-f, but the 350 is well worth every penny and the power is enough for me, i haven't drove an is-f but it may be worth you looking into as well.................don't get me wrong the only reason why i wouldn't trade my car back in is the possibility of being upside down, which is not a pain, but just imagine if you keep you car when it will paid off versus starting all over, but that was my situation, yours may be different, good luck..............................350 for the win, i wish i would of waited and got the 350 from the start, but the waiting list in 06 was ridiculous.................

Here's an ITR worth watching at 25 seconds....

And he's really not bad at driving, just not as fast as an F...

You're going to take a bath on the IS250 if you trade it in. Figure at least 20% below KBB (trade-in value) from a Lexus dealer. Sell it privately, if you can.

I was in your same shoes! I bought a 07' SGM IS250 with no navigation, and had it for about 9 months... test drove a IS350 and fell in love.. I sold my IS250 on craigslist for $1500 less than I paid 9 months before and 6k more miles... Then I actually had no car for 2 weeks and just rented a car, and found the pefect IS350, but I had to fly one way to get it and drove it back! Keep this in mind... Dont buy your IS from the mid-west if at all possible, they are WAY overpriced! You need to buy from California/Arizona.. you can save $3-4k and just plan a nice road trip back or have it shipped for $600

I picked up my current 2008 IS350 SGM with 12k miles from Arizona and paid $29,200, that was LAST MAY, so thats like me buying an 09' for that price today... deals are out there and you WONT regret it... plus having the NAV makes it look like a different car inside too!

Post it in the classifieds. You can sell a Lexus in the classifieds even if you're a brand new member.

Why didn't you guys test drive IS350 before driving off with 250? Or heck try out F. Now you'll lose a lot of money.

I infact did test drive a 350 and I wish I could get an IS-F but in all reality... thats just too much $$ for me to put down right now... I'm 24 lol not making enough for one of those beasts... like I said above, I chose the 250 because of the AWD (MI winters can get nasty)... now I'm having mixed feelings because of the power sacrifice
