Your policy doesn't enter into the equation. The guilty party's insurance is covering everything. Get genuine Lexus parts, you deserve it. You also need to sue for diminished value because your fixed car is not worth as much as your pristine car was. I lost $3k on my IS350 trade because the officer filed a report with "moderate damage" when all I needed was a new rear bumper cover. I really got hosed on the trade because CarFax showed "moderate damage."

Make sure you get everything you deserve!

Also - be glad your airbags didn't deploy - you'd have a purple face and might even have chemical burns from the explosives used to deploy the bags. The wife's friend's mother was actually blind for three days after her airbags deployed because the chemicals got in her eyes. Sounds like your seat belt did exactly what it should - protected you with minimal injury.

That sucks! Main thing is that you're ok.

Don't worry about the car, like it's been said, it's replaceable. Glad you're okay, and your car will be good as new soon!

Glad you and the other driver are unhurt...

Lost my 05 Audi a month ago to a 40-45mph impact, so know the gut wrenching feeling of the wait and wonder part.

I'd guess one of two things. First your probably not totaled, just because your bags didn't deploy.... or... your luck you had a low speed impact, because the bags should have deployed but didnt...

Anyhow, like so many can attest, cars come, cars go... You'll own dozens of them in a lifetime.
Be happy you get to hang around to buy your next one!

Totally sorry to hear about the accident. At least you are ok.

So many morons on the road lately... I almost got hit the second time in a parking lot of walmart. Some idiot didn't bother to look back again... Good thing my wife saw the truck backout and screamed.

Accidents suck big time... no matter how good the shop is, there's no way to get it back to original. My car still has flaws after taking it to a high end shop that repairs Porsche, BMW M5's, etc...

So sorry about your car. I think Florida has a disproportionally high amount of moron drivers My 07 had the passenger side destroyed by one when it was only 4 months old.

Oh man! Thats horrible bro!!! But yes like everyone is saying on here, at least you made it out of this accident walking, and that's good news right there. I hope everything works out with the repairs....or replacements.
