Just wondering... i have a 06 350 but had a rental of the new 250's and noticed that i can play music through bluetooth.. is that just a software update for my Nav or a new feature ?? i would love to have that on my 350...

I've tried this in my '08 IS350 but for some reason, no sound would come out of the speakers. Not sure if it works, but maybe the audio guru's can chime in?

 

if it's a simple software update, i'll be at the dealer tomorrow. if not...

 

It's a new feature in the later generation unit. The original navigation system does not support the a2dp (music streaming) bluetooth profile, and there isn't software to add it.

If you want wireless music streaming badly enough, you could always add an external bluetooth receiver and plug it into the aux port. This looks like it would do the trick: http://us.kensington.com/html/14484.html

 

This is actually a good idea ^^^ I may get that... It would be nice to just have phone in pocket and not connected to the cord...
