and have is220d from 2006 (56 reg) is it easy to upgrade maps

i heard there is a cd in your car containing the maps how do i get it out?

how much do new maps cost?

can you install 3rd party maps on it?

There are instructions in the owner's manual on how to change the map disk. It's in the dash behind clock-airbag light panel.

I haven't seen any 3rd party maps or much of mods to Lexus navi (like adding POIs or anything).

 

The MSRP for the updated map DVDs in the US is $199 but you can get them on the web for a lot less (Google "XXXXX Gen5 v9.1 disk" where XXXXX is "toyota" or "lexus"). Don't recall seeing any European disks for sale but I didn't look past the first 1-2 pages.
