Default 2010 Nav system vs 2006

I had my 2006 in for service and they gave me a 2010 IS 250..nice. A bit different than mine, same color interior/exterior, but some chrome on the trim and the grey leather seats had some nice black piping.

However I digress--anyone know if any of the Nav system updates give the look and feel of the 2010 nav system? I know the 2010 is new hardware and nothing can make my 2006 system do USB devices and traffic messages via satellite to update the nav, but the layout of the 2010 system seemed nice, a bit more refined than mine. How much are these system upgrades? And most important, anyone know if I upgrade mine, will i lose my ability to override the must be parked to input destinations (via the hidden menu?)

thoughts?

I recently purchased a 08 is350, which the dealer has held since for the valve spring recall. My loaner is a 10' es350, and one thing I found on the nav was the ability to turn off the drl's through the settings screen. Can you do this with an 08 nav?? I see allot of people talking about having the dealer disable them, but is it necessary? I know I want mine disabled.

Yeah, dealer has to do it.

And to the OP, yes, you lose the override if you update your nav software at all from the original 2006 stuff. You can hack around it (cutting wires) or $300 for a hardware method that doesn't cut anything).
