Default AznPapya's Quads

Hello everyone. I am aznpapya's friend who is helping him with his quads. I was not at all prepared for such a project and I warned others who is attempted to do this to atleast have a spare pair. I knew it would be intensive tinkering and thinking, but aznpapya thought otherwise (He thought it could be done in a day), but alas I agree to work on it.

First day was a big fail. I told aznpapya to atleast give a guinea pig so that I can think of a way to mount. Unfortunately I didn't have that opportunitiy as aznpapya still thinks it can be done in a day. Holy batman, he has soo much faith in me . First day went and past with NO progress, we just took the lights out and stared at it.

Second day working on it we decided some brackets ** ehh hemm* LOTS of brackets. We got it mounted but it was so complicated looking and there was no way to adjust the cutoff. You can see a pic of it mounted in aznpapya's thread I think page 2 or 3?

Third day rolls around and it hit me. to get some screws in the back *duh* why didn't I think of that earlier. So we spend the third day mocking up the screws. Then another probelm arise to how we can secure the projectors. So we spend the rest of the third day and the fourth day to just browse Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware.

On the evening of the fourth day I found a clip that was our saving grace. So then we ended up getting those clips, but alas was not able to fit our screw.

So then on the fifth day we got everything to fit in and mounted the projectors. It fits! and looks good . but the cutoff was out of wack. It was getting dark so aznpapya said goodnight. Left his right headlight at my place and went home with painters tape eye patch for his car.

That night I got it to align and today we put it on his car. Drove around, hit some potholes and speedbumps and the cutoff still looks fresh

Ok a few PICS!

Getting things to fit in and looks flush was a pain. The shroud that aznpapaya got was no good and concealing things. So I flipped it around

Got the cut off Straight!@ (just the oem right projector and S2000 projector)

(With the oem left projector, that little dip in the middle will be filled in once we have the other s2000 projector in.)

(Everone tell aznpapya too not rice out the s2k's with 5k ++ bulbs. Left is Oem, right is S2k)

Cutoff down my alley. Approx 50 ft. Very nice purple band above blue but cannot be captured.

***WILL UPDATE

i think it would look even better if i swap the 4300k bulb with 5000k for the s2k so it matches my oem one. what does everyone think? stick with 4300k or swap it with 5000k?

imma take some better pics of the headlight and better shot of the cut-off at night this weekend, stay tune everyone.....

new pics...

from the driver perspective

from the rear perspective

the color band

the 3 cutoff perfectly align

in the foreground the s2k produces a really cool lil rainbow, and notice the colors above the rainbow

some pics at 3 different level

how it look on the road, notice the cut-off and how i lit up the front lawn

It is stock. Aznpapya was thinking of getting clear lense for em and maybe I will tinker with it to make it more intense, and colorful. The stock oem projectors are HORRIBLE!

Yeah John I lost your number or something man. I try to contact you a long time ago but couldn't reach you, so I thought you change numbers or I had a wrong number.

Although when me and Phuc went to hunt for pot holes and speed bumps last night, we thought we saw your car. I told Phuc to chase you down, but when we were close the car was stock as it can be

Anyways I will resume to work on it monday.
