Noob HID Conversion Questions - Help!
I'm not much of a car handyman but I'm going to attempt to do the HID conversion for the low beam (4300k) and fogs (3000k). As well as change the city light. I'm not changing the DRL's because I want the highbeam functionality. I may put in some halogen mtec's or silverstars later.
The low beam conversion looks pretty straight forward once I have the right tools. The install of the fogs with taking off the bumper is freakin me out but I want to do it! So my questions:
City Light:
1) Best matching with 4300K phillips bulb? Do i get from v-leds and which one?
Low Beam:
1) Where can I get the double sided 3M tape to stick the ballast on? Tie wraps? Any hardware store?
2) I need to drill to make a hole for the wires through the plastic. What size should I use? 1" or 0.75"? I'm using XD's Xtremekit. What do I have to do to get a perfect circle? I've seen people use some contraption instead of a regular drill bit?
3) Do I need to cut out grid patterns on the inside of the panel with cutting pliers?
4) How do I run the harness to he battery? I can't seem to find any instructions on how/where to run the harness to the battery.
5) Silicone caulk best thing to make sure the grommet is sealed tightly? Do I really need it?
Fogs:
1) Do I need 9006 or H11? I read that its H11. Is this correct?
2) Can i install the ballast on the bumper support without taking off the whole bumper and going through the wheels? I saw instructions on how to do it and place the ballast on the brake dam, is this as good as the bumper support for a location to mount it?
2) Do I need to raise to car to get underneath the bumper to take the screws off? Just use a jack or should I buy something?
3) Anything extra I have to do to make it watertight?
A lot of questions but hey, I'm a noob
Thanks for your help!

This is probably the closest you can probably get to 4300k

and i think the fogs are pretty watertight already.

low beams
1. xtreme kit already comes with adhesive sticky pad.
2. i used a 3/4 inch hole saw. it's about the right size, but i'd suggest you use a smaller one if you can find it for a more watertight fit. i just used silicon to make sure mine was watertight.

3. not sure what you mean
4. i ran it separately. the passenger harness along the body panel. the driver one along the firewall then down the driver side panel.
5. i used it just for a little extra security.
fogs
1. you need 9006
2. you can but it's probably easier if you take off the bumper.
