I didnt have those on my car for a long time... Im no expert but I didnt worry about it

 

if it is a cover which i think it is, they are expensive to replace i had to replace one of mine (it was dangling like yours) and although i broke off a small part, it was part of a large cover and it costed me 180 to get the new plastic... hopefully you wont have to pay that much.
