I'm not sure, as long as your signal in front is amber it should be fine. There are bmw's that don't have the amber in the tailights.

Red outs are illegal in the same sense that jay walking is illegal, or going 61 MPH in a 60 MPH zone is illegal.

You'll have to check the laws in Australia.

A couple quotes taken from wikipedia

"Presently, almost all countries outside North America require that all front, side and rear turn signals produce amber light. In North America the rear signals may be amber or red."

"Generally, but with some global and regional exceptions, lamps facing rearward must emit red light, lamps facing sideward and all turn signals must emit amber light (though in North America rear turn signals may emit either amber or red light), lamps facing frontward must emit white or selective yellow light, and no other colours are permitted except on emergency vehicles."

ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automotive_lighting

From this i would assume its illegal anywhere outside of the US

yeh, i want IS-F lights, but i dont wanna spend $300+

so i thought 10$ for red outs was a pretty good deal
unless anyone wants to sell me IS-F lights for cheaper or trade my stock + money for ur is-f lights, lol

preferably in sydney, nsw, australia, lol

probably wont get any replies, but worth a try eh

and, is there anyway to make the lights blink amber, but still have the red colour on the outside???

hey k2sty1. you can always go with the ebay ISx50 LED tail lights. they a bit over 200 bucks i think. but for sure its less than the is-f lights. or you can wait for someone to sell them in the classified section.
