Wheels that I cannot easily see, but can be shipped to me.. thanks
pretty much any lexus rim should fit on your GS, as long as you dont have the bigger brake calipers, im not sure what the 98 400 comes with

just so everyone knows, I ASSUME that if you dont say anything about no fenders mods, you either have them done already or ARE NOT AGAINST modifying your fenders...

to everyone
YOU NEED MODDED FENDERS FOR AGGRESSIVE WHEELS PERIOD

i have NO PROBLEM modifying my fenders if needed... thanks for your PM as it was much appreciated...

and since you already went with those tires on those wheels, you'll just have to mount up the wheels and tires, and find out for yourself.

best of luck.

I went with a slightly wider tire due to the finding a matching set of tires at a good price through Discount Tire.... it was very hard to find a set of 265's with a matching set of 225's in the front and not compromise ride quality... my apologies if it offended you in anyway..

Well since i didn't get any specifics on my first attempt I'll try again. My question is, what would I have to do to fit my CV1s on my RWD IS250? 20x10.5 +25 and 20x9 +20 or this not possible?

well, since you didn't include what your proposed ride height is (i'll assume you're willing to modify your fenders to make the wheels fit), i'll wait until you try again.

you dont HAVE to run matching sets...

btw with that 275 is looks super clean either have them shaved or shave half and roll the rest and your set.

fyi, wheel fitment is different for oem ride height vs. lowered ride height, especially for wider wheels with "aggressive" offsets (your wheels fall into that category, btw).

that's why i "asked".

btw, try not to take an attempt at humor personally... and apology accepted.

Default newbie question..

Can anyone please explain to me what offset does and how it contributes to your car? Does it just make your car look better by having the wheel mounted on further out away from center of the car? Sorry for the noob question,, and thanks in advance!

I'm debating to get 18 or 19, and I have a 350 dropped on H&R .. what would be a typical setup with good looks and handle?

so I moved the car and let the rear settle a little on the 275/30-20 and this is what i got below... no rubbing noise any suggestions now that its settled? like shave roll? even when i put a passenger in the back it just tucked in more...let's get some positive answers since all the "INFO" is right here lol

start here: this is tire rack's technical explanation of offset.

honestly, there's no template of what's the "best" diameter, width or offset for wheels. everyone will have a different opinion, so find out what you want first. not quite the definitive answer to your last question, but then again there isn't one.

best of luck.

if it's not rubbing, then what's the issue? please explain.

Thanks! But I've read that before. But I just don't know where to start - do I pick the wheel width, then offset, then tire dimension? Everyone talks about offset but I just don't see how it comes into play. Is a more "aggressive" offset one that will look nicer, because it sits further out and make your car looks wider? Is that one of the main factors ? Thanks!!
