I think I've figured out my rim / tire setup
looking at a 20 x 8.5 rim (38 offset)
tires: 235 / 30 / 20
its only 1/2 inch taller and not even 1/2 inch wider.

Its not getting too aggressive so I hope it'll work without any mods.
2006 is250 awd

not lowered, no fender work.
Im ok with having to heat up the liner and push in if needed, and even a small spacer if needed to clear the calipers.

does this sound like it would work?
any suggestions (besides the obvious... you need to slam it on staggered wheels)
Thanks

a slight pull yes, any more aggressive and your fenders would slit like my GS did. but then again it didnt spilt until they were pull this much. but then again this is A LOT more aggressive stance than what your trying to do

you should be good. just the liner MAYBE, but probably not cause your not going lower. (i do suggest 19's) only because 20's look huge without a drop. But it will fit. and you shouldnt havent any problems.

^ if you're not lowered, your proposed wheel/tire specs should fit fine. you won't need fender work either, since those offsets are conservative enough for clearance.

on the other hand, i don't understand why you're proposing 235/30-20 instead of 225/30-20.

225/30-20 is closer to oem rolling diameter than 235/30-20, but to each his own.

I like the look of a wider tire and a little taller tire should take up some of the gap in the wheel well.

i don't particularly agree w/ using taller tires to reduce wheel gap, but to each his own.

didn't want to start a new thread, and you guys are the experts with lining wheels up...

i just need to decide what size spacer to go with in the front.

unfortunately, these wheels only came in 8 and 9.5 widths with the choice of +25 or +40, so i'm running 19x8 +40 and 19X9.5 +40. ideally, i would have liked a 19x8.5 +40 in the front or 19x9 +40 in the back so they are more in lined with each other. anyway, the back is almost perfectly flush IMO. i'd like the front to be similar...

-pic snip-
15mm spacers.

this will effectively push out your front wheels to +25 offset, which will have the very similar frontspacing as the 19 x 9.5 +40.

you shouldn't have wheelwell clearance issues at your current ride height either.

hope this helps.

It's so hard trying to find the right set of wheels!!

Will 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 +34 all the way around fit without fender mods?
What about 19x8.5 +38 and 19x10 +43?
Oh forgot to add.. +1in drop.

all of those will fit with no fender mods
on a 8.5+34 and +38 run a 225/35 up front
on a 9.5+34 run a 245/35 out back
on a 10+43 run a 265/30 out back

any wheel that bolts on will fit. tires and suspension modifications (if any) determine whether you can drive around on it... or not.

(edit: since Mv350 has chimed in on tire sizes, i'll defer to his suggested tire sizes)

btw, the 1" lowered ride height shouldn't affect clearance, since you'll have a consider amount of suspension travel before your tires touch anything.

...so, basically i should have gone with the +25 offsets up front then . i was scared it was gonna be too much. the rear was an easy decision...wasn't much choice there.

i was actually deciding between 5 and 10 mm spacers but wanted the unbiased feedback. i'll go with a 10 at least, but now you got me thinking about a 15...

thanks for the input!
