they are compatible. just cuz its a multi-piece wheel doesnt mean its not compatible. do ur research on CL and u'll find out what im talking about.

 

need to take into consideration if you are or will be dropped, offsets will be affected by it, offsets that work with undropped wont look good with dropped (lower offsets than undropped). Take a look in the sticky

 

 

nice trinity... but your lip for the back isnt any different than the front? you can go for a bigger lip for the back cant you?

 

I'm running 19x8.5 +23 and 19x9.5 +24 with only rolled rear fenders.

 

theres a 1'' difference in the lip from the back to the front

how do you determine how big the lip is on these wheels? if i was to go order them and wanted a 3" lip, how would i ask? does it have anything to do with the offset? sorry am new to this, so i know nothing..

 

lip size all depends on how wide your wheels are and the offsets you chose. lastly the type of disc you use for your wheels.

for example:
work wheels have a R disc which give good lip size but most of the time will not clear bbk. work also has a A disc which give a decent lip and clears BBk. for the rear they offer a O disc and that maximizes your lip in the rear depending on offsets.

 

I am getting ready to order my Work Emotion XT-7 wheels on Monday.

I want to make the correct choice.

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it:

I am getting 18x8.5 Front. I will run 225/40-18 tires.

Rear will be 18x9.5, 265/35-18.

The two cars I can find on this site with this wheel are both running +38 offset, front and rear, and it does look correct.

In the pictures of these cars although, it looks like the front could have been done with +32, to pull the tire out, even more flush.

Should I just order +38 F/R, +32F & +38R, or +32 F/R ???

I'm thinking +32 would look very agressive F/R, but am worried about: A)the rear fender lip. I don't want to roll the fender, B) Front Rub. I am willing to heat and trim inner fender.

I will be using TEIN S-Tech Springs, which create a fair amout of drop.

go with +32 all around, you shouldnt have any problems

 

I went with +38 and am happy with it. You should prob put 235/40-18 in for front tires. I have 225 and it looks stretched. I'm going to be throwing 235 in the front when I decide on new tires. I dont know anyone that runs the +32 so youd taking a chance, it does look like it could be fine with a bit more aggresive stance but I went with something I knew would would and it still looks good. I'll try to see if I can get a pic of my car so you can see the offsets.

Is there any reason why you wouldn't run 265/40s on the rear?

I'm pending for these and I also have questions on them. These are 18x8.5 and 18x9.5.

OEM: 18x8.0-225/40 (90mm) & 18x8.5-255/40 (102mm)
XT-7: 18x8.5-235/40 (94mm) & 18x9.5-265/35 (92.75mm)
() = tire height, double and add rim size to get total wheel size
265/40 would put it at 106mm... wouldn't that be closer to the OEM?

I don't understand the calculations for tires and rims... 8.0" = 203.2mm, 8.5" = 215.9mm, 9.5" = 241.3mm. Doesn't that warp the tire then if rim width != tire width?

Also, does anyone know the speed difference for a tire that's 4mm bigger in radius? It's probably around .2 mph or so?

Lama, if you look at imaputz's sale thread (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=314388), +38s look good. I don't know much about offsets, but I would think that if you push it, you might get rub if you hit a bump while turning a corner?

 

widths being on 8.5 and 9.5 a +32 would not really be aggressive. its still conservative to me but will look flush. of course this all matters on what tire size you will finalize and if you want any fender mods which i doubt you will need.

my works are ganna be 19x9 +18 and 19x10 +17 and thats semi aggressive compared to the set i was going to order. i cant wait till they arrive.
