installed an Xtreme Kit 6500K over the weekend. A few hiccups with installation, but probably attributable to my lack of handyman skills. Steve is super helpful with answering questions or concerns. Overall I'm pretty happy with the product in terms of output and color.

My only concern is that I set my lights to 'auto', and when I first turn on the engine, the HIDs flash really brightly, and then slowly turn on. I can't imagine this is very good for the bulb, but I think thats just how they are.
Anyone know anything about this?

the flash is just the bulbs igniting. halogens bulbs don't do this. it takes a lot of voltage to ignite the bulbs, but after that it uses 12 volts.

that's why you have the ballast instead of a direct swap.

I've had the Xtreme 5000K for about 3 years now and they are still running strong! XenonDepot has quality products. No shortcuts here... all plugs and adapters are always included.

here you go! crappy cell phone pics, but you get the idea.

6500K Xtreme Kit in the lows. It's tough to tell but I have 2500K city lights and DRL/Highs (looks MUCH better in person). Was considering putting in 5000K bulbs in the fogs.

had the xtreme kit 3000k for my rsx-s. One of the best hid kits i've had. So i decided to buy one for the is350 3000k fog also. Works really well. :thumbsup

if this is true, they should be removed. their stuff isn't that great quality and customer service isn't that great. the Volt Kit is pretty good, i've had mine for almost 2 years now, no problems

don't think they are. they aren't on the vendor list. only two i know are xenondepot and hidextra. both have almost if not entirely 100% positive feedback.

aac is a vendor on myis.net
