I noticed was that during at light stop, I could feel that the vibration through the steering wheel...felt a bit stronger. Do you guys think that if I change the steering damper will fix this issue ?

Use a small flat head screw driver and pry up the yellow tabs behind the airbag. Then the 2 tabs click out by pulling on them.

There are probably a ton of reviews already, but I figure one more wouldn't hurt.

I've had this installed for almost a year now, and after the first week or so, I pretty much forget I even did the mod. However, I've noticed that before I installed the steering damper, the bottom of edge of my hands would sometimes get numb from prolonged driving (e.g. NorCal to SoCal). After doing this mod, I cannot recall having that happen.

Pic below is pre-install. Notice the empty slot.

Here it's installed:

Hardest part is removing the air bag. Then you just put it in the empty slot and screw in the 2 screws you see below the damper.

Where exactly is the torx bolt that I have to remove, I don't see it from the pictures. What size is it?

The torx bolts are under the small plastic panels on either side of the steering wheel. Look at the steering wheel from the side. The left side cover is about 2 inches wide by 3 inches tall that you need to remove with a small slotted screw driver. The right side is under the cover that surrounds the cruise control stick. Once you get it open, you'll see the torx head screws securing the airbag (one on each side).

Just a reminder - disconnect the battery before you try disconnecting the airbag!

can someone help...

this has been a very helpful how to--but I do not understand how to remove the airbag wire---

is it at the base where the other two wires are? is it at the airbag connection?
The plugs on both ends are very different.
thanks

How did you disconnect the black cable of the 3 from the steering wheel? The other two white plugs were easy but the far left is impossible to remove?

my 2 cents.

i have a stock set up. give the wheel a slightly heavy feel. small enough for you to notice, but not to heavy. worth it to me.
