What exactly did you do? Any major things have to removed in the engine bay?

Gonna pick up the Toyota fog button that JAVY used... Kinda busy now so I'll probably tackle this in a month or two. When you do it, if you can take pics and post em up that would be great! (especially for the part of feeding those wires inside from the engine bay )

Any schematics on how to feed the wires through the firewall? That seems to be the only thing missing from this great DIY.

Driver side there is a grommet. Top driver side corner to be exact. Pop through there and use black silicone to seal afterwards.

Ok, I gave it a try today, and it works as described now I need that Toyota switch and find out how exactly to hook it up to the switch.

To confirm: if you turn on your high beams, it doesn't turn off the fogs right?

I'd like to add HID's for my high beams as long as my fogs don't turn off (and yes I know turning HID's on and off for a short amount of time will decrease their life...that's why I plan on getting a cheap kit).

Thanks

Yes, with this mod, fog stays on even when high beam is on. This mod basically override everything including your factory fog switch on the steering column as it has constant power feeding from the battery even when car is off. So a lighted Fog switch is better route to remind you that the fog is on.

(the car is a lease)

anyway to wire on an 2010 so that it could be controlled with the factory stalk? i.e. no visible owner installed switches. if so, will lexus notice upon return of leased car?

^ That is the holy grail of foglight mods. To my knowledge, no one has done it. The 2IS computers make it difficult.

It seems to me that someone with enough electronic knowhow should be able to pull it off, using the same workaround as the independent switch foglight mod. Anyone? Buhler? Buhler?

For those that want to attempt it, look up all the postings by lobuxracer on the topic (like this one for starters: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...w-beams-2.html).

Im the same way. Not gonna tinker with it until I find a way to use the OEM stalk switch with the Fog Mod.

I gotta go over some wire diagrams and see what I can put together.
