Default Blown sidewall tire - should I do it right or cheap?

Hey guys, got a flat after running over some rough roads last night anyway,
does anyone know if Lexus covers replacement tires for a blown sidewall. The car is less than a year old and has 10,000. Also what are your thoughts about holding off on replacing the tire with stock bridgestone potenza and just getting a generic brand until I change all four tires? Is this a mistake. Its a IS 250 RWD and the flat is the front left.

Thanks guys

Find a used tire for now, than upgrade wheels/tires when you get money

also, you might be able to warranty that Bridgestone tire if there are no signs of puncture by a foreign object and it was a manufacture defect that made the sidewall blow out

there's no road hazard warranty for the OEM tires.

you really shouldn't put a mis-matched tire on there.

Do you depend on your tires to stop your car? If you do, you probably don't want to mix brands on the same axle.

The world goes nuts for a rare problem with the accelerator pedal that 99.9% of the owners will never experience, and you want to cheap out on the only thing that is keeping your car on the road. Don't skimp on the tires, it's the most important safety item on your car. Low profile tires are prone to road damage, that's just the price you pay for better performance. You have to accept it.

why are you going after the tire manufacturer and lexus?

u need to file a claim against either the city or your state transportation agency. take pictures of the pothole, the damage, and copies of the repair/receipts.

Definately want to do it right... I would jus get two new tires and file a claim with the city if it was a huge pot hole... my buddy jus went through this and they paid for the tire...

You could get one OE tire and get it shaved at the tire rack to stay at the proper tread depth.

Hey thanks everyone for the advice.
I think I'm leaning more towards just changing it to bridgestone potenzas at the dealership. How much you guys think it will cost, arm and a leg? I don't have any bridgestone tire sellers around my way and I work crazy hours.
