Replication producers are not just in the car world (fake LV/Burberry/ect.), but you don't see those companies going out of business or stop making products because people copy...

While, it's upsetting because it's taking someone else's hard work and design, those who are still sporting the true and real WALD/INGS/JP Vizage/ect. products will probably feel prouder (I assume, I surely know I do) at the end of the day because they supported the company who actually created the product. I rather put my money towards them and support them rather than give a dollar to someone who copied.

i think the difference between a replica and an authentic kit is the logo of the company that made the kit engraved onto the kit. On the wald rear bumper lip, there is logo of wald on the side, showing that it is the real deal. however, i don't know what went wrong with mine, the fitment is Bad, people at the shop told me it is fiberglass and said i got ripped off.....and charged me extra for the installation...

also, i don't think everybody has the money to buy the authentic body kits, therefore a lot of people just rather buy the replicas to save money. also, if you actually think about it, take the wald spoiler for example. 550 dollars for something that you know wald can mass produce each spoiler for as low as 50 dollars and under , and you are paying 10X + the price, to me it doesn't seem worth it. however, when a company keeps a kit at a high price, and only a few people are willing to pay for it, thus making the kit more unique. And replica companies ruins that by mass producing and selling at a way lower price. So, there is the good and the bad, depends on how you see it.

i might be new the the lexus game and all but im not new when it comes to aftermarket parts.

There's a fine line between replica parts and authentic parts.
Put it this way junk or quality? which would u perfer?

fitment is the biggest issue with replica parts. especially on a lexus which is known to be high end/class , u dont want cheap looking parts on your car.

well then i guess you are new to the aftermarket parts afterall ^

little do u know that the replica companys make the parts and and quality and fitmen IDENTICLE if not BETER than the real companys.... so in the end are u willing to pay 10x more mark up for a stamp engraved logo on the inside of your kit which nobody will know if its real or fake in the end once installed and painted?

.... not really worth it imo ... when it comes to wheels if your rocking reps then its embarrasing , but when it comes to lip kits... its all the same shi.t in the end ** if your not buying the crappy reps off ebay ** but in this case nextmod kids are top notch when it comes to fitment and quality

word.

but why can't it be the same reasoning for rep wheels? the thing that irks me is that peeps buy replica wheels and get the authentic brand name wheel caps and say their wheels are the real deal. one bimmer forum is littered with members rocking bbs lm reps with bbs wheelcaps.

You're comparing front lip and rear lip... HAHA... Maybe the front lip is easier to make then the rear one?

Anyways whoever bought the wald replica please post picture after install and let us know wassup with the fitment.

haha yeah it is so funny, if you actually compare the prices, 160 for the replica front lip and 769.99 retail price for the wald rear lip. Is the rear lip still harder to make?
