The "basic" warranty is the 4 yr/50k one... then click on "powertrain warranty" there
72 months/70k miles coverage on engine, transmission, differential, drive axle, and some misc. parts attached thereto.

Just wanted to post an Update
The car is at the dealership getting a full new transmission installed.
I took some time and wrote up a one page description of the tranny issue to give to the SM and techs. Bullet point style, just listing out all of the oddities I experienced in the last week... in case the test drive didn't show all this stuff. I just wanted to make sure that everything was on the table and it would get fixed the first time, rather then the runaround deal which seems to happen sometimes when I bring it in for service.
SM told me that all the codes were indicative of a failed tranny. They got the OK from Lexus and a brand new tranny was shipped today.
This wasn't a fun issue; however, I'm almost glad it happened since now my 47,500 mile IS350 has a new 0 mile transmission.

It was very easy. But then again, it should have been. My car is warrantied and the transmission died, so it's the way it should have went. At least there wasn't any hassle on their (dealership's) end, a pleasure to deal with.
Of course they tested it. They drove the car, then ran all the codes from the Check VSC, Check Engine and Master Warning lights being on.
What they found during this check indicated that my tranny was a goner and it needed to be replaced.
I didn't just go in with a story and my 1 page explanation and get it done
Anyone else had to get the tranny replaced?
Anything I should look for / test right when I get it back?

just a question, did your car have any CEL codes on your dash when you took your car or did they just take your word for it? My car seems to be acting similar to yours but in a very mild manner.
thank you!

Then very randomly while driving the CEL, slip indicator, Check VCS, and the Red Exclamation Point all came on. Didn't feel any different though... still bad.
The SM and Tech drove the car and actually felt the issue. Then checked the codes and came to the conclusion. Only took a day and they were approved to replace it, can't complain.

That's scary but im glad you got it all resolved. Nothing like getting a new tranny without too much hassle. It seems like Lexus/Toyota is usually always on top of things when it comes to backing up their vehicles. Good to hear a happy ending

Just got the car back today.
Three day turnaround time, replaced tranny, no BS, runs great!
Yep yep, all cel lights came up when I was driving and remained on when I brought the car in and they drove it.
