Default Wiper Blade fluid not coming out

Good day to you all, having a little issue. My fluid for my wiper blades is not coming out. I went out and bought rain-x, however I just want to make sure my car isnt going on the fritz!

I went out and filled up the wiper blade reservoir, and still nothing

any suggestions or ideas? i'm at a loss. It's been below freezing, but that's all I can think causing any issues

Do you hear the pump trying to shoot the fluid out? Or does nothing happen when you activate it?

If its been below freezing don't you think the fluid would be frozen?

It depends on what kind of washer fluid is in the reservoir. The stuff I use claims to work to a temperature of -25F.

sometimes if you get the cheap stuff put in, it freezes. they might have put that in when you got your oil change.

but, who knows. get it checked out by the dealership.

Almost certain its just the fluid freezing, somewhere on its way from the tank through the lines. Given time to warm up, you should be fine (at which point, you should consider something that works at a lower temp.).

do you wax your car often? you could have clogged up the shooters. make sure the hole is completely clean. i remember a thread a while ago with another member having trouble with their washer fluid and after throughly cleaning out the hole where the fluid comes from, everything was fine

The IS nozzles for the windshield are part of the wiper arm. Not sure how one would get wax in there?????

I had an 85 MR2 (aka mid engine), but the wiper fluid tank was under the front 'hood'. Since there was no engine heat there, the sucker froze up solid and didn't thaw until the weather improved.

I am thinking the dealership put in some cheap stuff, it got above freezing, and I finally was able to wash my car, and I put in new fluid, and the first time I went to use it it shot out, like it was clogged (or frozen)

um not in my is350 but i remember my dad poking the 3 holes from each side with a needle precisely and that did the trick. i have a feeling it might be the same? that happened to my old audi a6 back in the days.

like on the left side, only 1 of the 3 holes would shoot water. After examining and poking it that did the trick

just trying to help you out but again examine thoroughly first

As bowtied mentioned, do you hear the washer fluid pump make the humming sound or is there no sound at all? Maybe that's what could be busted.
