GPS Map DVD needed?

Default GPS Map DVD needed?

Hi everyone I purchased an used IS and I was playing around with my gps, somehow I went to menu and did some changes and now I cant use my gps anymore!!! its shows on the screen "no GPS map dvd inserted, please insert a map dvd" I havent taken any dvd out how come is asking me to insert a dvd map? I dont have any map dvd what should I do? I will call Lexus dealer tomorrow but I cant wait till tomorrow, please help

It's possible that it tried to eject. The DVD is behind the black plastic panel next to the HVAC controls. Get out your manual, take off that panel, fully eject the dvd, then re-insert it.

Sorry where is the hvac located? I tried to look for it on my manual but can't see it anywhere.

You will need to get to the tools for your spare tire. There are 2 pointed tools that you insert in the clock. You will see two pin sized holes in there. Put the tools in and the clock cover should pop out and thats where the DVD should be.

OMG I did it!!! thanks alot guys!!! I guess this is how I am suppost to do if I want to upgrade my gps right?

Yes, this is the same thing you would do if you bought a new (updated) map DVD.

Sorry--A/C. But you should be looking under "nav" anyway.
