Default Need some opinions please

Hello all. I am looking into buying an IS. I love the car and I have 2 questions.

1. The first one is a 2006 IS250 with 43k miles and asking price of 19,999. The only problem is that it has had an accident according to carfax with a deer. Would that be enough to make you look for another car or would you use it as leverage to get a better price? Keep in mind I would like to keep the car for at least 5-7 years if not more. Therefore, reliability takes precedence. Anyway it's a silver on black.

2. Can a dealer change his advertised price? I found a really good deal the other day on an IS250. I'm sure the dealer made a mistake but I called and they said it was available for the mistaken price they put before. However, less than 24 hours later they changed the price in the ads, by a significant amount. I printed the ad with the old price just in case there is a possibility I might be able to get a good deal. So, can I do anything?

thanks in advance.

hey man you should check into that car fax more and see how much damage was done to the car if it was a rebuilt title or anything hitting a deer i think would be pretty bad unless it was at low speeds lol those things are heavy ! jus make sure u do ur reserch before u make ur purchase
and to ur second question ..you never know ? jus give it a try and see what happens lol

if all works out... ull be very happy with the lexus i can tell you that !

good luck

from what i have heard dealers can change the advertised price, but usually you can get it at the price you have printed out, or really close to the price you have. definetly worth a try. youll love the car any how.

even if there was a pretty big difference? they had the car listed for 14,875 and now for a little over 22k. that's why i assumed it must have been a mistake but printed it anyway.

If that car hit a deer, it might as well have hit a wall... That is crazy. Don't buy it. Leverage for a head ache? Not worth it bud.

You shouldn't be using carfax in the first place...

dealers will honor the current price. i hardly ever see any dealers honor a price that was in retrospect (from a previous ad or something printed prior to the current price). as for the deer incident, if there was really bad damage, check it out in person first. i recommend bringing in a body specialist or even a mechanic to check things out. make sure all is working properly and there isnt any harm to the frame itself. if everything checks, then you have yourself one hell of a car. post pics soon if you get it man!

car dealer ads usually have so much fine print that you can't box them into anything.

"Not responsible for errors." Well--what can't just be classified as an "error"??

I wouldn't buy a car that hit a deer. I wouldn't buy a car that hit anything if I had a choice. They will honor the price if they wanna sell it
