Default U-turn rubbing?

Hey guys!

So I've had my IS350 for about 4 months and have been pretty much a lurker on the forum till now. I've run into an issue that I can't find an answer to on the forums yet and the dealership (Tustin Lexus) told me that this was a common issue and I shouldn't worry about it.

Whenever I make a u-turn and turn the wheel all the way to the end... it feels as if there's some resistance and kind of a clicking as I finish off the turn. It happens on both left and right u-turns. Is this really normal or am I getting the shaft from the dealer?

yeah I would definitely say it's something along those lines. Hahaha! The only reason I heard it was when I let my friend test drive my car because she wanted to buy one too. When she was doing the u-turns she turned it all the way. I tend to TRY not to get lost =P

I've noticed this too even when I was at stock ride height..I think the suspension geometry is just a bit off..it's normal though. Rub away!

On some cars they have a metal bump stop that can be greased to reduce this noise. Don't know if the IS250 has this, though.

update: i called longo lexus and they stated that this was an issue as well and that it was normal just based on the way the car was made. is it just me but i'm getting the feeling that if this was a known issue... shouldn't it be fixed? I know that BMW's have a good turn radius without the rub/noise.
