Default Bluetooth reception problem

I have a 2008 IS250 with NAV/Bluetooth. I have a problem that in certain areas, cellphone reception is good (4-5 bars out of 5) and I can make calls and I can hear the person answer but they can't hear me. It seems to be getting worse. It's not the phone - I made a call via bluetooth in the car tonight while stationary - I heard the person pick up and reply but they couldn't hear me. I switched the car off and made the call directly from the cellphone (in the car but no bluetooth) and everything worked fine!!!

Any ideas???

Thanks Joeker. At first it was just in 1 location, now it's almost everywhere (?!) - so I'm not sure that's the problem as sometimes they can hear me just fine, but I'll check that first.

Well, tried that - no joy. Same as before.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but it seems like I'm having this issue as well. It seems like out of nowhere the input audio gets switched from the in-car microphone to the phone's microphone. I confirmed this by talking into the phone. The weird thing is, the incoming audio is still being heard through the car speakers.

Does anyone else have this problem?
