Default Tint Question: FormulaONE Ceramic or Comfort?

Or LLumar's ATR? I know the metalized tints are not recommended for cars with navi and bluetooth, but I dont have either on my IS250. So am I ok with going with the Comfort Series since it has metal in it?

I searched and looked around at the large thread with everyones tinted cars in it but I couldnt find much info regarding this.

Any helps appreciated. I think I'm going to go with 5% all around, like my last car.

Not sure if you've already gotten your car tinted, but I too have an IS 250 and I'm a Formula One installer as well. I would recommend the Pinnacle Series because it will reduce more heat and UV than the Comfort Series, plus it won't interfere with your integrated AM/FM antenna which is located just above your defroster grid on your rear window. With the superior performance of the ceramic film, I'd stick with a lighter film than 5%. You'll have better nightime visibilty, and depending on how strict the police are in your area, you can keep yourself from getting tickets (FL law is 28% f / 15% r).

Good Luck! And remember to check out some vehicles that the shop has done so you can see the quality of their work. Don't let some amateur ruin your nice car.

I also have FormulaONE Ceramic 35% all round, have no problem with Nav and Bluetooth.

on the is, i use huper optics 30% rear/back, and v-cool on the front windows. works fine. the only problem with huper optics is when they heat strink the tint around curves, the thicker/darker ones tend to be harder to do, and leaves heat spots. they call it ghosts. it's only noticeable at certain angles under the sun from the outside, not inside.

on my wagon, the huper optics (all around) seem to lower the range of my temote key fob.

in any case, i like huper optics and will use it again, regardless of the ghosts.
