mild modified 2IS are a everywhere here... hell modified cars here are at every traffic light... but i do flash the peace sign at most modified lexi rocking a tsuna/fusa cuz hawaii is so small...

 

I try and waive to a fellow modded IS owners. I see this one guy in a white lexus modded in whittier, off the corner of los nietos and norwalk blvd, i gave him the thumbs up when he drove by, caught him on another day and he returned the favor lol

there should be a common hand-sign.. like gang signs but for CL

 

Just a simple peace sign and acknowledgement is good enough. sometimes I'll do a thumbs up if he or she's got a nice set of wheels & offset

 

Oh yeah to add, I only got:

Other modded cars
A wave from a modded black NSX

Regular people
A thumbs up from a truck driver
A compliment from another truck driver
A compliment on my old wheels from a pizza delivery boy
Screaming compliment from two girls

Usually the other modded BMW and Honda's just gave me the I'm gonna eff you up stare lol

 

i never see another modded IS in my town

 

no cause there so many of them out here in the 626 area, unless i seen them at the meet.

Why would they have to be modded to get a wave?
I'll give an occasional wave to any IS if they've done the same.

sigh, only seen a couple modded ISx50s and they were parked.

most ISx50s here in austin are stock, so I don't bother waving at them.

 

I don't think modded IS owners are trying to be snobs to stock IS. At least I don't try to be.

I think its more of comfort level to wave at a modded IS vs. stock. Cause we can relate to the mods more than the car.
Unlike a stock IS, we wave to the driver (a driver who is not into mods/car enthusiast at all) may think, "who is that fool waving at? And WTF did he do to his car?"

 

I wave at any 2IS owner.
Modded or Not.
Only some wave back tho.
