Default Pull the Nav out and...

check to see that all wires are plugged in. The two times I've been to the dealership for dash rattles, they have forgotten to plug one of the wires in.

I've thought about this but am debating if I wanna yank the unit myself. The walk through makes it look easy enough but I guess I'm nervous about dismantling my new baby...

this has happen to me as well, they forget to plug back wires sometimes or they could be doing this just to see if they can get you to come back and have service done for extra charge... dammm dealers!

and like someone said, it could be a region setting. did you double check to see if you're in the right region?

congrats on the new ride, you'll be smiling from ear to ear. and if you decide to do it yourself, no worries its easy, i did mine the first week i got the car for the nav hack.

I've checked the region and its set properly. I'll probably yank the unit over the weekend and check the plug.

I think my nav is having a bigger issue.

About a month ago it would suddenly lose the highway and show the car running East a few blocks of reality when heading south on 94 heading toward Chicago.

A week ago the whole map disappeared. Just a blue screen with some icons.

The dealer thinks either the computer of the whole nav unit is gone. I will know more tomorrow.

I had my windows tinted today and they talked me into an IPOD interface (Didnt like the way it worked at all so had them remove it afterwards) but while they were installing they checked the GPS antennae cable and it is plugged in. At this point it seems all I can do is wait and hope the new DVD will fix my issue.

That sucks S2000toIS350. I hope you're still under warranty.

Did you try "reloading" the firmware from your current disk? Takes all of 1 minute.

Tmirk, the dealer tried this when I took it to them yesterday. Even after it reloaded they were still getting error codes.

Can't someone in this forum just burn you a copy of their nav disc? It would have to be someone that has the nav rescue disc. I am waiting for the dealer to call me about mine, they ordered one for mine (still under warranty) since I lost nav in the middle of driving one day (but now it's back and working fine)... I'm just curious if we could help you out by burning a disc for you.

I am covered.

Free ES for a couple of days. That car is horrid to park due to the FWD turning radius.

Not legally, and discussing illegal copying is not allowed on this site. We respect Lexus's copyrights for software to prevent legal issues for the site.

Finally got my issue resolved, it was the DVD. Thank you to everyone who offered assistance and words of advice. So far I'm loving being a Lexus owner and ClubLexus.com has been a tremendous source of information and help. Thank You.

I wish my fix was that easy.

They ordered a whole replacement unit for me.

I guess this is not a common fix.

The parts have not shown up in over a week.

Good thing I have gotten used to the Chicago grid.

Sorry to hear S2000toIS350, but atleast you're covered under warranty. If this didnt fix my issue I have no clue what I would have done since my warranty wouldnt cover the Navi unit and replacing it is several grand...
