Greetings!

Have been reading this wonderful forum EVERYDAY for couple months. I just collected my brand new fully loaded 2009 Sport Edition IS250 today. After wating it for 4 painful months! What a nice car! I love it!

I got a few questions here...

1, It's quite odd that my car came with the old "chicken head" dial control for the sunroof. I thought only 2008 IS has it and they changed it to the buttons on 2009? No big deal, I like it more than the buttons, but just want to know why I have it in my 2009 IS250.

2, I tried to watch few DVDs but I can just get the sound but no picture. The gear is in park. Can't really figure it out...

3, Is there any real use of the foot parking brake? Can I just put the gear in park instead? Also, sometime when I put the gear in park and lift my foot from brake the sifter jumps a little, is it normal?

4, It happen twice that the window button not responing when I sitt in the car without start the car. It work first couple times then stoped working 2 times. Did I accidentally pressed some secret buttons?

Thanks in advanced for the answers!

The emergency brake must to be set to receive picture during DVD playback.

Congrats on the IS.

#3 only if you want to, but like Mister T said, it needs to be set if you want to watch DVDs
#4 Just hit the start button once without your foot on the brake. You should be able to roll down windows after that

Enjoy the IS!! Oh and post some pics

Pics? Welcome to the IS family and congrats on your new purchase.

If your car has been turned off for longer than 60 seconds or so, the window buttons will not work. You would need to turn on your car again to roll down your windows.

also some sad news...

Found out yesterday that someone on the parking lot scratched my front bumper on the passenger side! The scratch is approx.3cm long and 2mm wide line without paint... I cried a little bit inside hen I saw it...its not even a week old!!!

Have already ordered the touch up paint from the dealer and they are willing to help me to buff the area after so it will be less noticeble. Well, have to wait till tuesday to find out if the touch up paint will match the colour of my car! This SUCKS!!!!!
