hi, recently, when i shift to park then this happen, i bring it to lexus, they said its normal. i am just kind of worry, this happen start at a months ago, anyone knows have this happen to their car?
My 2006 IS350 and RC-F both did it. It mostly happened when I was not parked on a level surface. I believe using the parking brake will prevent this from happening.
This is normal. this happens because there is a cable that connects the shiftier tot the transmission. As many said above, if the car is parked on an incline, its engaging the parking pawl as the car moves slightly forward or backward. Our CR-V and Highlander and Camry all do the same thing.
