quick question about maintenance
Hello,
Here's a quick writeup of what happened. I just got my car back from the dealer, my maintenance light was still on when I got it back, car was still dirty, basically it looked like nothing was done to the car. I checked the engine oil after getting into work about 10 miles away and check the engine oil and it's dirty. So I call them up , talk to the manager and he tells me that he's confident work was done on my car and that the oil on the direct injection engines sometimes gets dirty almost instantly but offers to let me bring my car in and they'll change it in front of me. Just wondering if this all sounds reasonable or if they are likely trying to cover up for their mistake. Thanks for any information.

I changed my oil at home on an incline ramp and after driving for two days, I checked the dip stick and the oil is very clear. I was worried not all used oil came out because of the incline but after checking the dip stick, it is all good.

What area is that since CA (state of California) is very big?
Interesting how quickly they decided to change the oil in front of you, was there any mention of your time and trouble wasted. Good service involves doing simple tasks correctly the first time. They certainly did not help their own case by forgetting to reset the maintenance reminder.

They didn't do the oil change plain and simple. So where are all those people who insist on genuine Lexus stealer service because "you drive a Lexus and you don't want to pay for Lexus service"? Not that I go to Jiffy Lube, but at least there you can watch them work on your car to make sure things are done correctly.
Tell that to my friend, who's truck rolled across the parking lot, across route 9, and smashed into the divider between the north and southbound lanes when the McDonalds reject working at Jiffy Lube left it in neutral without setting the parking brake.
