Arrow 150$ for cleaning injector!?!

My dealer ask me if I want to clean my injector on my next maintenance and they want 150$ to did that. They did it a year ago on my car and I see no difference after. They say I must do that each year. It's a lot of money to clean injector.

Do I have to do it really each year? Maybe I can but a bottle of cleaning injector in my tank.

What do you think?

Regards,

Not sure dude.

Never go to the dealer.

Maybe its true, but doubt it. I would say, it might be good to clean them every 100k miles?

I don't know?

No, it's not on the manual!
Thanks for your answer.

I like amsoil oil. I will try the amsoil product for cleaning injector in a year or 2.

Skip the high-profit dealer injector cleaning.

Techron Fuel System Cleaner is outstanding. I have been using it for over 10 years.

Every time you fill up at Chevron. Most stations add a fuel injector cleaner to their fuel.

Usually the concentration is very low so you're not really going to get any major improvements. We're talking probably 1 quart of additive to thousands of gallons of fuel.

And that's plenty to keep a injection system clean. But hey, if you want to spend your money on the little bottle you put in yourself, knock your self out. I'm sure you getting major improvements from it.

I agree, the little bottle is cheaper than the $150 pure profit dealer cleaning.

But since I use nothing both Chevron premium in my Lexus, I won't bother with both.
