Programming Key
Ok so I have a 2007 IS250, and both keys batteries are going dead at the same time. One is already dead, and the other is about to be. I have already replaced the battery myself with the needed 3v CR1632. I need help on how I am to program the key to sync/work with my car. I know I own a Lexus, and yes I am trying to work around going to the dealer because I don't want to get screwed put of my hard earned money to replace 2 keys at the same time and for the dealer to charge me an arm and a leg in hours worked that someone I know can do in under 5 minutes. Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow!!!!! Thanks for all the help guys. Amazing how a 5-7 dollar battery cost Lexus of $80 to replace. I love my car, but my dealership has screwed me over so many times from the start, I wonder if it is just mine or Lexus in general. Whatever the case thank you guys for your help/advice.

How did you get that $80 price? Did you ask the dealer how much they would charge to change the battery, or did you ask them how much it would cost to program the key to the car? If the latter, you simply asked for the wrong thing.

Not so sure about Fry's. At least in GA they don't have the 1632. Batteries Plus does, but they charge an arm and a leg. The only cheap source I know is eBay. 1632 is really rare unless you're a Lexus owner.
