Default power window noise (?)...

Lately my front passenger window has been making a vibrating or buzzing sound when going back up. It's performance is the same and it's quiet going down... just noisy when going up. Before I make an appointment with the dealer, was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar and what it could have been.
Thanks

Could be rails or seals that need lubricating, just had mine done for similar noise at the dealer

O RLY? Same thing on my car! Front passenger side. Quiet when going down. Loud as hell when going up. But same performance. My friends noticed the noise as well.

It's rather annoying esp when you have the music down.

Oh wells. I heart my extended warranty should it ever fail.

I have the same problem with the exact same window, but I haven't done anything about for 2 reasons:
1. mileage is over 50k, so it's not warrantied
2. as you said performance is normal, it's just a bit "whiny" about going back up

If you're under 50k miles, take it back in and it should be covered under the bumper to bumper warranty.

So the door panel has to come off and all that crap? I've delayed this because my car usually comes back marred after it's been taken apart (I am too picky).

i had a problem a bit similiar but not exactly the same as this one. when i close my driver side window it would make a loud clank sound and i just kinda disregarded it for a while until one night when i put the window down the whole thing just sank foward. WTH?!?! so i went to the dealer and it ended up being lose screws thats all (: i say get it checked asap, its a really quick fix

I used to jump at the chance to go to the dealer, but over the years my car has come back scratched, dirty, or something new broken. Mind you this hasn't been from Lexus, but I am still paranoid.
Thanks for the info you gave.
