Default passenger window wind noise when going ~80mph?

I have been experiencing wind noise on the front passenger side when going around 80mph. Has anyone else had this? What was the ultimate (corrected) issue?

Sounds like a trip to the dealership is in order.

This is what i think...

If you look at the shape of the side mirrors, you may notice the promonent inside part of the casing facing the side window right up there not by accident. i think that it is possible that its form is meant to create a flow of air over the window to blow the drops of water- when speeding.. And the noise you (we) hear is a side effect.

I hear it very little if I pay attention. But mine came with the double pane glass variety.

I'm just speculating, thou...

There was an entire thread about this many months ago and how film on the mirrors may be involved. Just do a search under "Wind Noise" and you'll see all the back-and-forth.

Bump for this. I had a noise on my driver's side and removing the film got rid of it.

Removed mine and had it reinstalled without any air pockets and the noise went away.

I have no idea what this "film" is. Is it an aftermarket accessory?

The 5 pages thread Wind Noise doesn't resolve much really...
