Default Lug Nuts Question

I have the OEM lugs on my VS-XX and the washers are noisy. What are the specs of our lugs and which aftermarket ones are recommended?

you DEFINITELY shouldnt be using OEM lugs, you need aftermarket conical seat lugnuts. your lugs are NOT SAFE to drive on.

Thanks PureDrifter, it seams that the thread size is 12x1.5 any recommended brands? I am looking for a normal chrome finish, preferably not the open-ended type.

You need conical type lugs, OEM is flat and will not hold the aftermarket wheels properly. You can get the typical "tuner" lugs thats chrome and comes with most cheap aftermarket wheels for like 20 bucks. Just ebay "tuner lugs"

You should not use o/e nuts with aftermarket wheels. Usually it does not fit well and cause vibration problem.

Look for McGard SplineDrive set on Ebay. Not cheap but very good quality. It's 2-piece desgin so it won't hurt the wheels.

You got some nice wheels...match them up with some nice lugs.

Exclamation

OEM Wheels require OEM or OEM style lug nuts, which have flat washers built into them...

Typical Tuner lugs have an Acorn or Bowl End on the lug nut design, which will mate perfectly with just about all aftermarket wheels...

These acorn shape lugs are NOT really safe for an Oem Lexus wheel.

and Vice Versa

The OEM lugs with washer are NOT safe for aftermarket wheels with bowl shapped lug holes.

Please excuse the rusty nut..
