Question Does anyone have the same problem with HID fog??

I have installed a HID kit on my fog lights,but sometimes when I first turn the fog on.it still stay off.. I have to turn it off and back on again to make it works?is it noraml??

that happens with a lot of HID's, but idk if its normal.

Yup, happens on my bike, but I don't have HID fogs. My buddy said it happens on a lot of aftermarket HID installations, but I dunno what causes it or if there's a fix.

That sounds weird. What brand did you get? are all the wires in tight? Usually it has to warm up but it'll still turn on.

Hmmm, so far it has not happened to me yet.. i agree probably there could be a loose connection somewhere?

I used to have that problem with my HID fogs. I just installed a relay to power the fog HID ballasts from the battery and the fogs powered up every time without shutting off. You can make a relay and the wiring yourself or purchase one from eBay like the one here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/9005-...Q5fAccessories

Some people don't have problems using the stock 2IS fog wiring to power the ballasts but using a relay will give the ballasts a more steady power source. The stock wiring will still be used to trip the relay, but the relay will draw +12V from the battery instead of the stock fog wiring to power up the ballasts. You can even hook up a switch to trip the relay separately for those people who wants to have their fogs on without the headlights on
