I have 29,500 miles on my car now. And i just got a email from my lexus dealership saying that my car is due for 30,000 Mile Maintenance. Should i go to the dealership and do it or just go do it somewhere else? Also how much does it cost usually? thx

 

Don't ever go to a dealer and ask for an "X miles" service... they'll charge you 4x as much for the same work as if you just ask for the actual things you need done.

At 30k that would be:

Oil change
Brake fluid change

That's it.

(you also need an air and cabin filter change, but you can do both yourself, 5 minutes each... 10 if you've never done it before... and save yourself the $100 in labor they'll charge you)
