I am reaching 25K Mileage. What services are included with 25K and how much is it? Can I ask the dealership to just do Oil/Filter Change, if so how much would just that cost? Thanks!!

 

The easy answer is that you can "ask" or tell the dealer to do whatever you want done and he will do it.

The other easy answer is that the recommended services are listed in the manual.

Going from memory, since I have not had my RX very long, my other Lexus cars have a major service recommended at 30,000 miles, and another big one at 60,000 miles. These are the really expensive ones for which you can expect to pay several hundred dollars at least (or you can let your car fall apart or you can try to do it yourself or you can let the kids at Jiffy-Lube give it the once-over).

I don't think 25,000 is anything more unusual than an oil change and a general look-see, but you should check the maintanence book to be sure.

Finally, call the service manager and he will answer these questions AND give you a pretty good estimate about the costs.

 

The 25K is nothing more than an oil change, tire rotation and inspection. Do not remember the cost, but it seemed overpriced. I think I added new wiper blades at that time.

If cost is a concern you might research this forum for do-it-yourself oil change threads if you are so inclined or you could take it elsewhere for just the oil change and tire rotation.

 

Anyone recommend me to change the Oil/Filter by myself? Which will only cost $20 for parts. What type/brand oil do you use?
