Default Bluetooth Microphone Location

Does anyone know where the BT mic is? I get complaints sometimes that I don't sound loud enough when I call people from the hands free feature in the car. I went into the diagnostics and raised the sending BT volume of the mic.

Additionally, I would like to know where the mic is actually located so that i can be sure to point my voice in that direction. I looked everywhere and even in the manual and there is no reference to it from what I saw.

Does anyone know where it's located?

It's located near the dome lights. You can see a small grill/opening for it. I believe it's covered in the owners manual.

One thing I've found is that you have to be careful how you point the A/C vents during warm weather. If you point them so that they blow up towards the dome light, the rushing air will make it difficult for bluetooth callers to hear you clearly.

It's part of the plastic surround around the front dome light. If you examine the area around the dome light looking for holes, you can't miss it.

Centered near the overhead lights located in the sun roof controls. It's pointing towards the rear of the vehicle.

You can go into secret tech menu to raise the BT voice level. I forgot how to do it. I believe display -> top left -> bot left and repeat this 3 times or something like that.

Cool, thx for the post guys. Maybe I didn't see it in the manual bc i was driving at the time!! Yes I already did go into the diagnostics menu and increased the mic level to 5 (maximum). It goes from -5 0 +5...it came at level 0 from the factory. Everyone i called said they couldn't hear me at all. So when i raised it, that seemed to help a bit.

talk as close as you can to the fromt dome lights. i used to think it was around the door somewere like the 1992 LS400, but i was wrong. I think it was one of the fisrst hands free ever on a car. i remember it came with the cell phone included.
