Default Nav Hack Question - Red Wire?

I am looking to ONLY get the video in motion to work. If all I do is cut the red wire and ground it, will that be enough or do I have to do the full nav hack to get the video in motion working? Not worried about enabling any of the other stuff.

Well I am trying to see if I want to do it... cutting 1 wire and grounding it is pretty simple. Looking for the other wire (lots of people seem to get the wrong striped one) and doing stuff with it and then possibly having to hookup a switch etc...

I just want to know if JUST the red wire cutting will get me what I want.
