Unhappy Aaarrgghh....help please!

Hi all,

OK. I'm at a point where it's driving me insane. Problem I'm having is one of my headlights is giving me grieve! It sometimes just turns off. To turn it back on, I'll have to turn the headlights off then on again. It'll stay on for awhile and turns back off again. At times it'll be good and it'll stay on.

Now, I have taken the car to Lexus to check it out and they reckon it's the aftermarket bulb I'm using. Btw, I'm using Garax 6000k D4S. These are awesome bulb. Anyway, they said, it's blown. But it can't be, if the lights actually come on when I turn it off and on and some times stays on.
I don't know what could be wrong? Please help!!

Any signs of moisture in the housing? I had same type of behavior from water, but it was obvious there was water getting in there.

i've had that issue before, the flickering and on/off on one headlight. turns out it was a bad bulb.

here's something you can try: switch the bulbs from side to side and see if you can duplicate the problem.

if the same side flickers and turns on/off, then it's your ballast or wiring. time to see the dealership.

if the other side flickers and turns on/off, then it's your bulb. time for new ones.

oh, and even the best bulbs in the world can burn out.

bad bulb maybe, but remember to change them both at the same time.

Hrmm....I don't think there's signs of moisture in the headlight housing. It happens even on a clear day/night.

I'll try and switch the bulbs and see if it happens again. Man, it's a real pain changing these bulbs.
This is my second set of bulbs I have changed. Coz, a few months back, when it happened, I thought the bulb has been blown. So, I bought these new Garax ones and change both at the same time. Now it's come back!

I had that same problem. Turns out to be my ballast so I went and changed them out.
