My Gs350 headlights are HID's I'm not sure if I'm suppose to change the bulb or the ballast itself... It does it on both lights and they both go out randomly or at the same time... HELP PLEASEEE
If it's both bulb then most likely the bulbs are bad...id start there before trying to replace the ballast.
ahh thank you gotcha350 you always reply to my posts !!! im buying bulbs now... not sure if i want to get OEM's or 6000k ones make it look blue and cool!
Having the same issue mines come on and one will go off or sometimes both. I had some aftermarket HID bulb laying around I installed them it got even worse.

what after markets where they? maybe you didnt tighten them enough... from what I've snooped around xenon and philips are the 2 bulb companys that seem good.... If it isnt the bulbs then it might be the ballast....

Definitely start with the bulbs first. OEM comes with 4300k, so 6000k would give it a bluer look and maybe a little extra brightness. When my bulbs burn out, I'm installing 6000k ones to match my park lights since I put hyperwhite LED's in the center lights. Good luck and let us know the result!

hmmm i'm looking them up now and it says 6000k diamond whites.... not sure if that blue but OEM is good too i think the original headlights already look blue unless my brother changed it and i didnt know....

There some that I bought off ebay a while back they seem to work fine on other vehicles. Not sure if Lexus are sensitive to the type of brand of bulb you put in.
also would the AFS light flashing have anything to do with that??

They might not be the right bulbs... The bulbs maybe affecting the AFS sensor... I'm not an expert on this since i'm having this problem too... you could have not tighten the plug... or the pins... the bulbs... So just check to make sure... If its none of those then just try new OEM bulbs or change out the ballast... if all fails go to the dealership....

Thanks for your help..This topic seems to be very common and alot of people are having this type of issue.
I wonder is installing a full aftermarket HID kit would solve the issue.

There is a HID kit that was promoted on the forums I cant remember but I would try and go more OEM route and not bother with the after market problems with fitment... most things I do with my car are DIY unless its a big problem I cant do myself then i ask the dealer to investigate or a independent well known mechanic.
If anything just change the ballast... It might cost the same amount...
Just get Phillips or Garax bulbs...you do not need an aftermarket kit...the OEM setup is better than any aftermarket kit you can buy. HIDs burn out...not that big of a deal. One of mine went out several years ago. I ordered 4 OEM bulbs from Sewell....to have a backup set for the next time...cost $150 to have Lexus to replace both...done deal. I always recommend replacing both at the same time...do it right the first time and you won't have to worry about them again.
I'm not sure if these are 6000k.... In the picture they look blue but in real life they look white... If they're 6000k then my brother changed them before... Then I might have to buy a new ballast...
suprisingly they didn't turn off on me today and I was ddriving harder than usual... Changed the battery like 3 years ago.
I bought some 6000k Morimoto bulbs for my car and they work just fine and look great, they cost about $60 a pair, the Garax i was looking at was about $100 for a pair.
