I tapped my wires right at the stock amp. I used a LOC also and then remove my subwoofer completely to allow a pass through for the trunk sub system. Very easy

I decided to leave the ML amp there and working. It sounds pretty good. I ended up using the Scosch LOC, so that I could combine the output from the front woofers and the ML subwoofer into my Amplifier.
So far it sounds awesome. I dont know if It would be better to cut out the ML sub though. I might just leave good enough alone.
