Default is350 Mileage?

Hey guys. Reading from the dashboard comp. it says I have an AVG of 20.0mpg.

Is this an issue I should be worried about for my IS350 07 model?

Its fully F-Sport Equipped if that brings some factors into it.
I drive a tad bit more highway than city. Highways, I usually keep it on the 75mph.
I also use 91 Gas(the best ones shell has, and I don't mix gas)

I tried being really conservative with my gas driving 65mph, and it went up to a record of 20.1mpg. Then it went down again.

I really don't want to see that 19.9mpg on my comp.... Any tips in saving gas?

It depends on city driving too... I average 23 with 95% freeway driving and ironically when i drive the car harder it increased according to the display -_-.

i average between 19-23 with my car on an island, not so much of hwy driving on an island

as for saving gas? take out your spare tire (the one in the trunk and the one on your waist, find thinner friends/gf ), make sure your tire pressure isn't too low (40psi for me), dont drive with the windows open (save more gas with the windows up and a/c on)... umm... im sure theres alot more.

When I drove 1hr to/from work on highway going between 65-80 (and sometimes going faster than usual...), I was getting around 23-25mpg, but for city driving I got around 18-20mpg. To me it sounds kind of odd that you only get 20 when going 65mph on highway ...I'm assuming you keep up with regular maintenance, i.e. oil change, filter change, etc?

There's a big difference between AVG and TANK AVG. AVG runs until you reset it. TANK AVG shows you your current tank of fuel. Which one is showing lower than you'd like, AVG?

29-30 Freeway, i dont know local... but i get 23-24 Mixed, not really conservatively
IS350 with real dual piping exhaust (not Y) no resonators, and quads, Intake, and i do have a prototype chip, plus ENEOS oil.

hey. Yeah sorry for not making it clear. I am talking about the AVG which runs till we reset it. Not the tank avg. =)

I get 20-22 city and 27-28 highway in my 350... no mods cept the sway bars and F-sport intake (and the intakes only been on a couple weeks)... I don't think I've ever gotten under 20 from a tank, even one used for all city, all short-trip/stop-n-go driving

25 MPG here. Stop and go freeway traffic and city driving. Heck I got 22.5 MPG with 3 peopele in the car + luggage doing 100-115mph (average 90mph) all the way to vegas and back from AZ! 20 sounds a little off to me.

if you are really concern about mpg, do a real calculation. Fill up the tank, resest trip odometer to zero, write down the miles travels and the amount of fuel used at the next fill-up. MPG = miles travelled / fuel used. Also make sure if try to re-fill when the tank is almost empty. MPG calculation will be less if you refill at half empty compared to almost empty (due to less weight on the car for the last half of the tank)

If your calculated mpg is around 20 with conservative driving and 60-65 high way speed, I will be a bit concerned that the car is not running efficiently, meaning something is not right.

As far as the display mpg, you may get irregular reading depending on if you are driving slightly uphill or not. Others have different reading due to their own driving condition and habits, etc.

David, I don't think you're using your car :P. My dash says 17-18mpg, driving lightly too. Occasional pedal to the metal impulse.
