Default PIC REQUEST: Open Dash

Hey can anyone post up a picture of what the empty dash behind the OEM Stereo and AC Control units looks like (After you take it out)?

I'm trying to see the clearance behind there to see my options in terms of aftermarket head units and modification.

I tried searching but most pictures are only of the vents and unit itself.

Thanks

Wait i dont get it. If you're going with a aftermarket unit, shouldnt it be going on the lower slot? or are you upgrading to the stock nav? Just wondering.

I've just removed several posts completely unrelated to the OP's question. If you'd like to post mature, respectful comments related to someone else's modifications, please do so in the appropriate thread.

I need to see what it looks like first. If the circuit board and the a/c vents look a certain way then the mod can't be done.

It would be easier if i could just look at a picture rather than taking apart my dash just to find out that what me and my installer is planning is not possible.

If you mod the top area.... (im assuming you have a non-nav)... you can move the AC controls to the lower slot... and then install a unit like above, without having to have the controls on the door.

In the pic above.. looks like the controls would become useless ... better to have AC there ... and the music stuff integrated into the nav.

yes, i have a non-nav and i was planning on moving the AC controls down and putting a double din on the top. By doing this, we would need to cut parts of the panal and thats why i need to see what the circuit board looks like. Also i need to see if the AC vents allow room for me to put a double din on the top.

This is why i would like to see a picture (if anyone has one) before i go ahead and start taking apart my car.
