question (about overlays)
So I finally purchased the taillight/reflector (smoke) and headlight/fob (steel) combo from aerotect. do the overlays work like a sticker or do they require something else? any information from people who have installed this themselves would be really helpful.
what kind of spray solution??? i watched the tutorial but it didnt really specify what the spray solution is. i thought the rubbing alcohol and water was to clean it. so what is the spray solution?
call them and ask them what they use. i know they use two different types of solutions to apply the overlays. also if you are using the smoke overlays, i would apply the redouts first then the smoke overlays on top

definitely bottle sprayer and don't hesitate using some force cos i think you might need to stretch it at the corner of your outer tail lights... the guy at the tinting shop i went screwed up so i had to take it off.
use a hair dryer! makes the overlays more soft and flexible. Along with a water bottle spray and card. Keep spraying the water on the overlays as you smooth it out. That's how I did mine and worked out well. Good luck fitting it. Take your time.
For the fogs start from the inner to the outer. the curviness in towards the black plastic fog light filler is a bit hard to "stick" on.

Step 1: Clean the area with rubbing alcohol
Step 2: saturate the material with a blend of either soap/water or 70% rubbing alcohol and water.
Step 3: Lay it on the area and make sure it fits correctly and begin to squeegee it, work on a corner first.
Step 4: Stretch the film if needed, using a heat gun/hair dryer helps you stretch the material easier as well as dry areas.
Good luck! this is a very easy mod and kind of hard to mess up on(unless you overstrech, but then u just cut the excess off). You have a lot of work time because it takes at least 5 minutes for the film to dry on the taillights.
